Тsvetana Pironkova lost her second match in group “Sredetz” at Qatar Airways Tournament of Champions.
Pironkova lost 1-6, 4-6 against Maria Kirilenko in the battle between the players, who received “wild cards” for the tournament. Pironkova was under the influence of the match with Zheng, which continued almost three hours and she wasn’t in her good physical form. The Bulgarian begun with a brake, but after that she lost 6 games in succession.
Similar was the scenario in the second set. Pironkova won the first two games, but after that she allowed a turn and lost the match.
Thursday is the day off for the best female tennis player in Bulgaria. She will be back on the court оn Friday, when she will play versus Nadia Petrova. The final result of this match will have decisive importance for the first two places in the group.
